She said she is grateful for Rotary’s support through the Operation Warm program. Deanna said she is the daughter of two addicts and had to advocate for herself. She knows what it’s like for the families they serve. She is so excited about this partnership to make more families safer and healthier.

Our speaker today was Kelly McDonald to kick off our 5th Annual Golf Outing.
Kelly brought attention to the Save the Date flyers on the tables - please post around town.
Please note:
- Registration will be opening by Valentine’s Day
- Start time pushed back to 8:30 am to give more time for practice balls, breakfast, and socializing
- Happy Bucks moved up to Q2 to get coats to HTC earlier. There are multiple patterns, multiple colors, and they not recognizable as a donated coat.
- The collaboration with HTC gives a powerful story to tell with this year’s Outing.
Kelly shared feedback from last year’s outing:
- Sponsors - find ways for them to interact in new and different ways
- Grow to 100 players
- Improve our publicity and outreach to grow sponsors & golfers.
- Change volunteer schedule so not as much down time
Our overall goal is to increase our net revenue to increase our GOOD in the community
- Fundraising & Events are the shared responsibility of the club
- Need everyone’s help with sponsors and raffle prizes (Sofie will be gone for 4 weeks)
- Fine dining, experience-based events that can be included in the raffle/silent auction
- Target purchased media; share and comment to spread info in your circles
Sponsorship flyer was also on the table and will be available on the website. Successful fundraising includes a visit or phone call, with email follow up, and then, if necessary, follow up with another phone call or visit.
Kelly shared a sign-up sheet where you can list those businesses you have a relationship with and can contact or committee will contact. Specifically, we are looking for:
- 4 rounds of golf
- Restaurants
- Service businesses
- Alcohol
- Sports & Golf merch
- Businesses you partner/collaborate with
- Community supporters
- BIG FISH - to be a Title Sponsor, need an established relationship to approach them
There was a question about where the new 501(c)(3) for the club stands. Kelly said they are still working on the legal requirements but he expects it to be in place by the Golf Outing. In regards to non-profit status, once the paperwork is filed, we can say “pending.”
Have a long list of prior sponsors, but need updated Rotary contacts. And we should add new companies to this list. The list will be shared with the Club via a follow-up email.
Rand asked if we need to order more picture frames and then offered to order them.
