Kelly McDonald was our speaker today sharing the preparations for our 4th Annual Golf Outing.
Kelly gave thanks to those who are volunteering, who have sponsored, and who have worked on the committee. It takes the whole club’s efforts to put together the Golf Outing.
83 golfers are registered, which is 22% more than last year!
The Club sang the updated Golf song, but this editor decided to list the original lyrics instead, as the lyricist agreed they were better:
Take me out to Yankee Trace
Take me to our golf carts
Buy me some tees and golf balls
I don’t car if I ever get them back
So let’s root, root, root for a hole-in-one
If you don’t tee off, it’s a shame,
For it’s one, two, three mulligans at the Rotary Golf Outing!
(Anyone willing to write new lyrics for next year? Please??)
Volunteer duties were reviewed and Kelly asked to make sure we have your accurate cell phone number on the contact list.
We will have Bill’s donuts and fruit for breakfast, and will set up starting 8:30 pm tonight after another event at Yankee Trace.
Everyone helped stuff the goodie bags for the Golfers and all was set!
