Thanks to guest editor, Ron Hollenbeck, who provided notes for this week's meeting.
President Arnie Biondo welcomed everyone to the Centerville Rotary Club and led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. PDG Harvey Smith provided the prayer and he asked for a special prayer for Sofie as her father had passed away.
The quote for today was: "Learning never exhausts the mind" (Leonardo DaVinci)
President Biondo thanked Tom Broadwell and Sivaji Subramaniam for being greeters and welcomed visiting Rotarian Rick Hood (from California) and guests Nick & Kristen Hutton.
Announcements:
-Boyd Preston reminded everyone of the April 11th service day from 9-11 at Grant Park.
-Socks Bowersock has been putting golf posters on store bulletin boards. Kelly McDonald can provide additional posters to anyone who needs them.
-Tom Broadwell announced that he was retiring, and that today's meeting would be his last. Many club members spoke very kindly of Tom. and noted his great contributions to the club over many years. One notable achievement was his selling of pancake tickets. He always sold more than anyone else! Harvey Smith jokingly noted that we need to get Tom's list of pancake ticket purchasers. Everyone noted that Tom will be missed and wished him well for the future.
