Our speakers today were Mo Dillon and Tej Joshi with Fox 45/ABC22.
They run the Good Day Dayton segment that runs M-F, 10-11am. All segments are on the website so they can be checked out at your convenience.
The Good Day Dayton segment highlights a lot of local businesses & non-profit organizations. Tej does mostly editorials. Club member, Jake is on the show a lot to promote what’s happening at the Park District. There is typically no charge for segments like that as it is providing a service for the community.
They have two opportunities:
- Live with Tej in the studio
- Field location - on site at your business
Each segment is typically 4 minutes long.
They showed an example of a segment they filmed for Beckel’s Humidor. Watch the full segment
HERE.
They sometimes get video ahead of time and then input into the live show. They enjoy covering community events, and working with businesses. Please send them story ideas.
Their main goal is supporting the community and bringing positive things in the Miami Valley to the public. They do not cover crime or politics.
The business cost to film a segment is:
$200 studio
$300 field
Nonprofits are usually free. You then keep the video to use however you want.
They then quizzed the club with 10 questions about media and Bill Menker won with all 10 correct!
