25 Years - What a Difference!

Rotary District 6670 Conference will celebrate Rotary's success, share Rotary stories, recognize excellence in our activities, achievement among our new generations, and contributions to humanity.

April 19-20, 2013
Cincinnati Marriott Northeast
9664 S Mason-Montgomery Road
Mason, OH 45040

Why is this District Conference special? Possibly because it is no longer unusual that women are members of Rotary Clubs. The past quarter century has seen many changes and improvements -- significant differences that are so sweeping that they are no longer noticed.

Another difference: in the past 25 years, polio has vanished from most of the world. The dread and panic of earlier decades has been replaced by non-concern. But polio is not quite gone, and during this conference we’ll be looking at ways to put the final nails in polio’s coffin. But there is one statistic that isn’t different: 25 years ago there were 1.2 million Rotarians. Today there are . . . 1.2 million Rotarians. We have lost as many members as we have gained. So, at this conference, we’ll be seeking to develop and share ways to challenge and engage Rotarians, and to attract more good people to share in Rotary’s good works. Part of the process involves Rotary’s image; more importantly, your own Club’s image in the community. Your Rotary story. We’ll explore our collective stories, and how to increase Rotary’s impact on our communities. Add to this our recognition of excellence in our activities, achievement among our new generations, and contributions to humanity. That’s why this district conference will be special; and we want you to be a part of this milestone.

There is also a District Golf Outing for those interested in participating.

Register TODAY on the District website, DISTRICT CONFERENCE REGISTRATION or download a copy of the registration form and brochure from the Downloads section of our Club website.

We encourage all Centerville Rotarians to attend to learn more about Rotary and share stories and experiences with other Rotarians in our district!
